Great Resources on Forgiveness

On my last post on Pastor Appreciation, I had shared a time when my pastor gave me great insight on forgiveness and used a simple illustration to show me how to let go of offenses. This helped me to release the person who had hurt me and to release myself as well from the bitterness that was in me toward this person.

Because God created us to be relational in nature, there is always going to be conflicts as we relate to other people because of our differences in personalities. There could be conflict in marriages, between friends, between siblings, even between congregations and the list goes on. Bitterness due to unforgiveness can literally cripple a person and cause physical ailments. God has provided a way out for us through the example shown to us by His beloved Son.

One of my blog followers made a comment on that blog and suggested that I feature some great books from my online store, The Upper Room Book Store. I have not read the books I am suggesting here, but I have heard some great comments about them. You may also see additional comments from other people who have read these books and have benefited from them. I know you will find truths in them and hope these truths will release you from bitterness and help you grant forgiveness as you let God in to help you.
